here's a few pics not there yet but gonna be. I have been volunteering at a church in Boston MA called Emanuel on Newbury .Street. I watch the door for 2 hours, move a few chairs and music stands for sheet music and then when all the musicians are there I lock the doors and listen to them rehears. This is such a gift. The music and musicians are sooooooooooo off the charts I could cry. I love classical, as well as Jimmy Page but trust me this is out of this world.

The biggest thing I have to share with all you audiophiles is in this particular church. I have asked the musical director about volume? The first Saturday listened to their live performance, I was fully aware of volume distortion. I want to be very clear here. These musicians are impeccable. Every note is right on the money. Timing and you name audio terms, but volume I found out in any given venue is ARTISTIC. WTF. I asked a keyboardist who plays harpsichord and piano and organ and he conducts. Is there any indication of how loud to play, and he said in early music there isn't any volume information. What Im getting at is the singing was distorting my ears. Trust me guys I am the last person to be mean or to pick anyboby apart. The music was heavenly but it was tooooooo loud and was distorting. My question to you is WTF. With all the practice and money and time spent why not take care of the space where the music is being produced. I am so baffled that these musicians are oblivious to acoustics I want to be quiet but want to help. How can an absolute non musician who cant read sheet music, but can hear weaknesses in the church acouctics contribute and not criticize and not get fired for being critical., When I asked the conductor and the musical director about their opinion on 108 key pianos they looked at me like I was crazy. I am so behind the times the information came out in September.
