ADS L1530 in Florida

Well, it looks like the Husband had them promised to someone driving from Utah to pick up the speakers and the wife didn't know.
To think I thought 8 hours round trip was a haul.
Oh well, not in the cards.

I am about 2 hours away and discussed buying them with the seller, but just couldn't find time to get there right now. Timing is everything I guess, sure would like to own a pair.
 
That price is a steal for good condition L1530's. I have some M12/90's posted for around the same amount but would much rather have the L1530's. AKer MichiganNick has 2 pair and loves them.
 
Well for 400.00 I could have done the deal. But now that they are at 1000....:(
I didn't want them to flip, I just love ADS speakers!

Sorry you can't get them. I wonder what happened to the person driving from Utah?
 
I would look for ADS L1290 / L1290/2 or L1590 / L1590/2.
They are amazing on both departments - sound great and truly beauty.

As for L1530, first make sure you are a bachelor. Bulky black boxes, very low WAF, it's either speakers or female.

Agree with the 1590 recommendation. Great speaker and possibly even better than the 1530's. As far as the 1530's having low WAF; hmmm my wife of the past 4 decades helped me move my 1530's into their present spot a few years ago Females and 1530s sure can live harmoniously but maybe not if you pay $1G for a pair:) As much as I like my pair that's a bit over the top.

As an owner of both, I like them both...

The Braun 1030 is no slouch either, nor the 810.

I bought my second pair of L1530's when they were 2,000 miles away. If you are waiting for something inside of 5 hours... well, lightning sometimes strikes twice.... L1530s are getting extremely rare to find and almost never come up any more. I nearly drove to Denver for a third pair a few months ago. They were perfect - and only $950. Get 'em while Richard So is still around to renew everything - they'll be good for twenty years at least.

So your the one that picked them up. I saw them listed but didn't have the room for a second pair.

Looks like the ones I started this thread about have sold. I guess that $1000 wasn't too much for someone.
