Sorry, can't answer the tube question. however ... personally, and I dont need these L520's ... but I couldn't walk away from that price if these were near me.

I think they don't have real high sensitivity so probably depends largely how loud you generally play them (and I suppose what type of SE tube amp it is).

That's better than I thought. I have some L420 and for some reason I thought they were all lower than that.

Wow $125 is a steal for those. I own a pair and they are efficient.

Are you talking 12A6 SE or 211 SE? If towards the former that might not do it. Towards the latter probably OK.

These will likely be a second pair I don’t use very much, but for the price wanted to check them out. Sounds like a good deal then
