Nice looking woofers!!!:thmbsp: By way of interest, the Legacy 3 woofer had a very large "over-sized" surround compared to the earlier models:scratch2:

You should consider recapping them if you haven't already. Should smooth out the high range a bit, and maybe get rid of that midrange "bump" that you hear.

I probably will at some point soon, however the crossover looks new, Most caps I have changed before at least look old but not these. Which I realize is no indication of condition.

Here is a picture of a Legacy II with an original woofer, re-foamed with heavy hands...

That replacement woofer looks tough!

I bought the caps (ND polys) and resister (wire wound) today and they should be here in about a week.
I really appreciate all the help figuring this out.
