Advent Waveguide Crossover Schematic?

364700-001 is it I think. Can't find that receipt though.

Did find the pic from the e-wave thread of them:

Took some serious climbing up the learning curve to get those flush mounted like that...

Of course, now I want to open them up and see what version of the crossover I ended on.
I built several while following along with the whirlwind that was Zilch's design process. When the magic happened I stopped changing it, so may have missed the final iteration.

Thanks for the reminder ( apparently a year ago I knew all this / sucks to be getting old ).
Last year I said:
I'm wondering if your JBL contact person, might have (mis)-quoted you a price for the 1.5" entry version of the PT-D95H ( 8x8 waveguide ).

- The 1.5" entry ( bolt-on ) version is part number : 364036-001 This number is taken from this JBL service sheet . It looks like this ;

One can find by reading through the link ( to this LHF thread on the original PT-D95H waveguide ) that the cheaper, 1" ( screw-in ) entry ( 8"x8" ) was introduced a bit later .

- The part number for the 1 3/8" ( ie; 1" ) screw-in version is : 364700-001 as seen in this the JBL service sheet for the AC18/95 .

You were dead on!

the 364700-001 is $30.56
the other, bolt on one is $224!
I'm glad you had the part # because this solves a lot of issues for various builders who want to try the Spitwad ewave.

The guy at JBL remembered talking to me weeks ago and even gave me free shipping! :thmbsp:

Now to try and figure out how this crossover lays out...

:)

Hah! Sure does. That is the exact post I saw while looking for the pic of my LE-10's just now...
I wouldn't worry about it, it's like that McCartney release a year or so back, Memory Almost Full...

/s Worry instead that I got the part number from post 16 of this thread. <poke> <BG> /s

Screw on version (364700-001) was very inexpensive. Price list from 2011 has 'em at US $15 each.

Edit: These were $30.56 about a year ago, according to member nbriles2000 in the econowave thread. Still a good deal. I'll try reaching out to JBL Pro Parts on Monday.

Got 'em ordered! -- $30.50 each from Pro Sound Service Inc. in Braintree, MA. Free shipping. Payed with Paypal. The online transaction took about 5 minutes (which works well for me, having a fierce aversion to telephones ...)

Thanks for the link. Opens a whole 'nuther world of tantalizing ideas. They'll have to simmer on the back burner though, while the current projects play out.

Update: Pro Sound Service emailed to tell me that they don't stock these JBL PTD95HF-1 waveguides in house, that they are manufactured and warehoused in Mexico, and to expect drop ship delivery in a matter of weeks.

Ah well, ... got boxes to build, crossovers to wire up and enough drivers and waveguide combos to play with in the meantime.

Alrighty then ... looks like this is worth pursuing. Already have parts for the generic crossovers, JBL waveguides, D220Ti's and 2 pair of Advent woofers ("NLA" type). Expecting delivery of parts for "Advent 10" crossovers on Monday.

Also recently acquired some Dayton waveguides and sale-priced Dayton DT250T-8's (thank you GordonW for recommendation and EarlK for sale alert, posted in the giant econowave thread).

I'll soon be making sawdust for 2 sets of Advent ewaves, with component variations to mix, match and compare.

@Stuart Pedaso Did you ever compare these two crossovers and post about them?
