Advice: New Amp for Klipsch Cornwall I Speakers

I owned Fisher and Scott way back when, I would want an 8B or a MC 225 or for more power MC 240. But all three are going to be big bucks restored. Some of the Mac early SS amps have a similar though not exact same sound. A MC 502 or a MA 1900 with 50 watts a channel would be great. The 502 has Power Guard to help protect your delicate tweeters. I used a 2505 with my pair and then later on a NAD before selling them to a Baptist Church to be used in their Choir room as monitor speakers with the NAD amp. They worked great. Previous generation NAD units have a smooth sound for being SS.

All are definitely great options. I know one day I'll buy a mcintosh 240 as it's just such an iconic amp. That's definitely a dream of mine, but it'll have to wait a few years until I'm in a better place money wise. Also I would literally pay someone just to hear a restored 8b in good shape. There are a lot of them for sale on usaudiomart but way out of my price range. For now, I'm very happy with the decware torii, it really makes my Cornwalls sing and is very detailed with decent bass for a tube amp. It's not as warm or as lush as my Fisher 500c but sounds more accurate and precise, while still having a hint of liquidy smooth tubeyness haha. With the right recording it's honestly pretty awesome. Sounds a bit bright sometimes but it has an adjustment knob for the high end. I was listening to a R2R tape of Dylan and when he played his harmonica holy hell was it bright, hard to listen to it was piercing. Still love the set up and hopefully won't get the itch to upgrade anytime soon.

Well if you have heard a harmonica up close and personal thats the way they sound. Its takes distance and a good RCA or Beyer Ribbon mic to tame a Harmonica. Using a small or large diaphragms condenser mic can really be a bad choice if miked up close. Excuse me but here I go again complaining about mics chosen and miking distances modern record engineers choose. Are all men deaf? Seems that way. Lets go back 60 years and start all over again. Lets also delay digital 10 years until more advanced designs and components could come along. Ampex wanted a 100,000 sampling rate not 44.1 for better filtering, which we had to wait how long for. They also wanted a deeper bit rate. How long did we have to wait for that. But then hind site is 20/20.
