Aerial Acoustics 10T - $4000 (North Dartmouth,Mass)

well they were $7700 new with stands and look mint.

These would be more fitting for audiogon sale than cl imo.

There was some expensive gear on my local cl stayed unsold for full ad duration.

I'm sure they are well worth the asking price.I just meant, that I don't think, that there will ever be a time, when I would be willing to spend $4000 for a pair of speakers.Just too many other good brands to buy,for considerably less money.

I was offered an equal trade for my Quad 63w/Gradient subs combo for a pair of these- on the condition that I carry them. Apparently they are beasts. But I wouldn't trade my Quads for these- as good as I assume they sound. There's 2 pair on a'gon for a lot less than these, FWIW. (and these are on there, too...you'd think the seller would notice he's about double the price of the others?).

I've seen them go for more (at least listed) and for less - they get great reviews - I'd like to hear a pair sometime

Amazing speculation of actual value from a number of people that have never heard 10t's. :thumbsdn:

Aerial Acoustics is Michael Kelly of a/d/s. I've met the man, and he is all about the sound. In the past I have owned both the 10t's and 20t's.

LOL, it doesn't matter, nothing most folks have here would be a good match for these anyway. I can hear it now:

"They don't sound good, I hooked up my Pioneer 1200 gigawatt vintage whatever and then the tweeters blew".

My speculation of value is based on other sales I've seen, and a pair that was offered me in trade. We're not all digging in the dumpsters, Paul! But I agree with your sentiment...and if they really are selling for 2-3k, that's a lot of speaker for that.

Since 3 years ago there's been a lot more AudioGon-ish gear appearing on CL. First time I saw Wilson Watt Puppies on there I thought it was a joke (it wasn't).

Hope the trend continues :D

So much easier to list there. And it's free...

Awesome attitude! There has been too much of this crap on AK lately.

wow i did not even read his post all the way.

you would think a fella would get a vacation for B.S. like that.

that being said they are harde to drive. seemed to me like 200 watts just got em goin.

Maybe I'm a little sensitive but the crap about 1200 gigawatt Pioneer receiver yada yada yada just rubbed me the wrong way. That along with the "vintage graduate" stuff. This forum is all about opinions and largely subjective ones at that but you don't have to cop and attitude.

Just to be clear, I'm not coming to anyone's defense here. But, I think you 2 (Eric/Erin at least) have been here long enough know Paul's (beemer's) posts. As it's quite likely that neither of you have had the fortune to meet and spend any time with Paul, yes he is quite opinionated. By the same token, he really is quite knowledgeable and has had more esoteric gear pass through his collection than most of us could imagine. In real life, Paul is really a pretty humble fella. Opinionated? Yes. Outspoken? Yes, at times. Do some his posts come across as pompous and self-righteous? Most definitely. Such is the difference between the Internet and real-life conversations.

In my little opinion, Paul (who used to be a pretty regular contributor) has grown somewhat tired of AK. Should he stop posting because of that? In my opinion no, but read his posts with the above in mind. Please don't take one of Paul's posts and lump it in with other non-No Attitude posts. They may seem of the same vein, but they really aren't if you know the man.

Respectfully,
Dave

I think you'll be ok- you're far from being outnumbered on this site. Vintage fans must outnumber everybody else by 10 to 1. This forum is all about opinions as long as you're of the opinion that vintage gear is all you'll ever need or want. Yeah, there's attitude in Beemer's post but its from a frustration at seeing the same snobbery against any sort of expensive gear, played out over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over on this site.

i am no where near the person to point a finger. paul dosent know me yet he felt the need to comment on my experience and knowledge. not only am i offended but his post really jacked this thread.

i dont namedrop here because i dont care who someone has met or is friends with. i do care what they think. ak is about the exchange of information.

I understand what you're saying Relaximus and just to be clear I wasn't trying to castigate the man. My point was and is: Leave the attitude at home. This is one of the only forums I've encountered where members make an honest effort to treat people with courtesy and respect. This is why I became a member and ultimately a subscriber. You'll have to forgive me if I have a relatively short fuse for BS.
