Is it just me, or is AK slow for everyone Today? I am experiencing real slow load times on AudioKarma only :sigh:

It is only AK, all other sites are running fast,I can stream HD with no buffering, it just started last night, I have never had a problem with this site before, I triple boot windows 7, linux mint, and puppy linux, all three OS have the same problem. Why would it be just AK?

No - that means you need to use tweak your browser and use ad blocker.

1. turn off 3rd party cookies.

2. use ad blocker

3. turn off java script.

I'll have to research how to do that in Chrome.

It's these damn ads. Forever having to hit the back and forward arrows to change pages and hope for a less obnoxious one that doesn't drag you down with it.

Not slow for me, I thought it was a bit flakey last night, but maybe that was a local problem.

It's running real fast using a proxy server, the funny thing is, videokarma and the AK data base work fine, and i can connect to nexcess.net quickly, it was just AK that was running painfully slow...weird.

I have had a few issues here in Hawaii earlier today, but I usually chalk them up to mainland connectivity. My home internet speed here is actually blazing fast via Oceanic Time Warner.

The Hawaii to Mainland Trans-Pacific Link must be in San Diego as whenever I do a search, I get a maps of San Diego.

Seem fine now.

My ISP insists that my connection is good and it must be AK, If it was my connection then I would be having the same problem with www.VideoKarma.org as well as the AK data base, both work fast, It is only www.audiokarma.org that is slow. This has happened in the past to other AK users but I don't know how they resolved the problem, this is killing me, the only way I can use this site is with a proxy server that makes AK do weird things but at least it is fast.

The same thing happened to Echowars a few years back but I don't know how it was resolved

As already mentioned, use Adblocker Plus, and disable Shockwave Flash and JavaScript. You can enable the last two when needed for a particular site but it will definitely improve your web experience.

You can also use your Task Manager to monitor your processor and memory resources. This will help you to narrow down whether the problem is at your machine or externally. Using any decent web application to check internet connection speed will answer if your provider is running slow.

It is not my machine, I have the same problem in linux mint, puppy linux , and windows 7. I have two desk top and three laptops and they all have this problem with AK >>only<< I have no problem with videokarma or the AK data base I can stream HD video perfectly. If it was a bad HOP between me and AK then I should have the same problem with videokarma as well as the data base.
I pinged www.audiokarma.org with 0% packet loss, I am stumped.
Hopefully this will clear itself up because I don't know what else to do.

"As I said - CHECK YOUR CONNECTION - your ISP may be having issues. There are issues there. If you don't check that, just blaming AK is utter nonsense"

"There is a whole lot of equipment between you and AK. If one router has an issue (like dropping packets, long response time) there is your delay."

from post #21

I pinged www.audiokarma.org with 0% packet loss

"Those other you mention all are from the same ISP (AK, AK DB, VK)."

and AK DB & VK work perfectly, this is why the whole thing doesn't make sense. Wouldn't I get to VK and AK through the same HOP's ?

That was the reason for my post.

The adds that you are getting and the scripts used are unique to each site. There may be an issue between your machine and something on one web site. Install AB and disable the other two programs. Takes very little time, far less than you have already spent.

You have nothing to lose.
