AKAI 220v/110v switch inside deck?

i bought an AKAI GXC 510d from a man in germany..I didn't work properly because it is a 220v deck and the US used 110v...He said that there is a switch in the deck that can change that voltage from 220v to 110v. I don't believe him...Does anyone know whether such a switch exists?

Seems like the switch would be on the back.... Anyway why not pop the case off and have a look? Should be 4 or 5 screws to remove and that's it. Do unplug it before you do this!
 
Here's a photo of the back panel of the deck. Check the fuse assembly that is next to where the power cord enters the unit. It looks like the voltage selector is part of that assembly. You will probably need to change the fuse if the voltage setting is changed from 220 VAC to 110 VAC. Information about this is shown on the CAUTION sticker.

Hello, did you fix your problem? Not sure about your unit but I am repairing an Akai GX-4000D that has a voltage block and a 50/60 hz switch on the power supply board. Check your unit, it may or may not have them on your board but you will definitely need to somehow change the hz setting because in Europe they use 50hz. I'm definitely not an expert but I'm not sure the voltage matters if it's 110 or 220. Also the drive belt will probably need to be set on 50 hz also.
