I have aquired an Akai AS 1080 4 channel tuner/amp.
Works well but signal from tuner and phono input is not getting through to the amp. Does anyone have a circuit diagram ? (please)

So, does the aux input wok then?

I see this is your first post...... I asume you're from Queensland, I am down south from you one or two thousand kms.

Having an external source (phono) not working, and an internal source )the tuner) not working is an odd combination. My guess is that the input selector pot (the one marked "phono-Aux-tuner-tape" or whatever) is dirty. Plug a phono source in and work the selctor backand forth a lot of times and see if it crackles into life. Ideally, and if youre confident enough, take the lid off and spray some electronic cleaner into the slector pot as you rotate it back and forth............

(oh, a "tuner/amp" is commonly called a "receiver". No biggy, but it may help when doing web searches

I'm from further south again. I tend to agree with Jeff. I have the 980 and it was pretty easy to access the internals so your 1080 should be similar. A good dose of Caigs Deoxit should do the job...it's about $20 at Jaycar.
Good luck

I have the 50wpc version the 1050. . .use it every day. . .my wife loves it. . . I think the 1080 is TOTL. . .
