Akai parts? Cassette deck

Ready to give up on this cassette deck. Akai cs-732d cassette deck. You guys are my last hope. Clean and lube, new belt, new pinch rollers, just can't get the wow and flutter out of it. I notice the original pinch rollers (pretty much shot) seemed to be much softer than the generic roller replacements. So, question here, is there any place to buy original Akai replacement parts? Part no. for these might be mr310663. Very small size rollers

NO new Akai replacement parts available. And back then, Akai didn't keep a good parts stock when new. Pinch rollers I recommend Terry Witt rebuilding for you.

I'd have to agree with that. See the rebuilt rollers would run about $60 for this, and sure no guarantee that it would work right even then. Looks like a poor design with the small rollers and all the objects in the tape patch with the quick reverse feature. Great idea, poor execution. Thanks for the replies.

I love Akai styling and their glass heads, but getting parts is always an issue with these decks. I had to buy an entire second deck for my GX-625 just to fix it.
