Sounds like the price is for the speakers that have been “hand oiled with a foam swab” whatever that means.

Altec Valencia Console Speaker Set from the early 1960’s. This is the real deal, near museum quality. First the speakers are all original, consecutive serial numbers. The grills are original and fully intact. Extremely rare to find the original wood grills, let alone in such pristine condition. They have been meticulously cleaned and oiled. The entire grid work has been cleaned and oiled by hand with foam swabs. Original Alnico magnets in the green hammered drivers. Very sensitive speakers over 100 db at 16 ohms. These can be driven with very little power. Also matching walnut hand oiled speaker stands. I think they sound incredible, even better on the stands. Helps the timing and drives more bass.
The Altec Console is all original outside with all original hardware. It has been methodically sanded and oiled. The internal shelf work has been updated with 3/4 inch walnut oiled plywood. It is now modular and can be configured for a variety of systems. I have used Mc30 mono blocks, HH Scott, McIntosh solid state and the classic Adcom 535. I believe this was made for Altec in WI.
These are beautiful pieces, fully functional and very well cared for. Due to changes in life, I’m sad to say they should go to someone that can enjoy them.
