Altec Lansing A-323B Amplifier

I'm totally excited to find a local A323B amp at a great price. It's an early dark wrinkle finish in stunning condition. The Hollywood labels are beautiful. I have not cleaned the tape off the transformers yet. Only a light cleaning so far. Can't wait to try this gem out.. Any thoughts on this amp?

While possibly not suitable as a genuine reproduction of the original diagram found in the base of the unit, this should be a better version for service work:

I have both the Altec A323A and A323B. The major problem I have seen with both is R19, the 250r bias resistor for the pair of 6L6s, gets very hot if there is a runaway 6L6 tube and turns the tag strip it is attached to crispy and scorched. I used the A323A for many years with a nice Sherwood tuner and a Stromberg 15" coax speaker as a radio.
