Two thinks you can do to make them sound better is 1. put them up on 4 to 6" feet and the bass will tighten up. 2. add a super tweeter between the woofer horn and the 511 horn. That horn and compression driver need help on the upper end. Also, if you are into low bass they may need a sub woofer.

IMO&E they're better than the Valencia but inferior to the 19. Compared to the Valencia better dynamics and presence. But though they've better dynamics than the 19 the 19 trumps them in bass extension and treble extension. I think all three speakers are excellent.

The Record Exchange in St. Louis is in a pretty big building, and they only have four speakers in there playing music - a pair of Bozak B302As, and a pair of Altec Magnificent IIs. The Magnificents are elevated pretty high off the floor, and the bass extension from them is pretty decent.
