Altec Model 14 in St. Paul MN

I have listened to Rex's set of Altec 14 speakers, much smoother than my recapped Heresy's. So good in fact that I should be picking up a set of Altec's myself today! HeathKit AS101 that were on BT, basically copy's of the Altec Valencias.
Your not going to find anything new that comes close to those model 14's for that price. Somebody is going to be very, very happy!

"Alex, I'll take the Altec Lansing Model 14s in Lansing for $1000 please...."
This is a Jeopardy joke ya'll:naughty: but really, those are the ones I'd have to go for, they look freakin' brand new.

Yeah I'm certainly a low bidder but it hasn't hurt me thus far ;)

In the car business it would definitely hurt me. :D

Good price. You could do a lot worse with that kinda cash. A pair went through my town at that price and I kinda regret not getting them. Although, that would mean selling my lovely Wharfedale W90s so.. no thanks!

About Altec 19 for $1,700 above. From seller description:

<<<ALTEC MODEL 19 studio monitor speakers.modded with new crossovers with high end parts and moved to the back of the speaker.the owner invested over $5000.00>>>

When he said "modded" I say "molested". Poor 19 lost their collectors value. Now only utility value left, that I am not interested at any price, since I'm a collector.

Some people are itching to "modd" speakers. Even high-end ones. Now it's time to pay the price.
