First thing I noticed; drives me nuts when speaker surrounds go bad and people get new mystery drivers instead of repairing the old woofers. It probably costs more to ruin and replace than repair...
I love the 14s, only thing that will kick them outta my house is when I have a place with a big enough living room for 19s.

A proper 414 would have a shiny doped surround, and typical Altec vented dustcap.

The current woofers have a pretty new look.
