The topic reminds me somehow of Miss Jeanne Calment who was born in 1875 and died in 1997. As a joung girl she was a shop assistent and sold oil paint to Vincent van Gogh.

That is very interesting indeed.
My own grandfather lived to be 97, he passed in 1999. When I was younger I would ask him about the transition from horse and buggy to the automobile. To me it was fascinating, but to him not so much, as a matter of fact, he spoke about it as if it was much ado about nothing.
