American Pickers tonight

chard306

IT'S ME, IT'S ME...IT'S..
See they picked up a old H.H. Scott tuner and amp on American Pickers tonight for I think $20.
Looked like a HH Scott Type 330-B AM/FM Tuner & Type 299 Stereo Amp.

I think he also got the two lattice-grilled speakers for that $20!

I don't remember them putting a value on them.

No value put on these, just tuner & amp, for $25.
He mentioned vintage equipment was hot right now.
In all the episodes, they only a couple bought old, old turn
tables. I've been waiting for them to realize the value
of old amps. I could only imagine the what the overlooked.

Yeah, this episode surprised me....they actually scored some electronics. Interestingly, they didn't show the "valued at" price like the other pieces they bought.

I didn't see them grab the speakers though. Appeared to be Realistic Nova 8b perhaps?

I thought it was unusual that they didn't grab any vintage stereo gear either. On the bright side though they're not helping to drive up the price of the gear by sidestepping it.

I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I watched this program. Not a single guitar, banjo, Dobro picker to be found.

Yes, Seriously, I thought it was going to be music.

Can you believe people that never throw anything away? How many trailers did that farm owner have packed with "stuff"?

neither of those guys look like theyd know a transistor from a rubber band. all the stuff they want has to strike they're fancy, be dusty unique, old and easy to sell. notice they make only a few 100 on any item they pik. Now motorcycles is rite up they're ally. vintage audio NOT.

I think they only show them purchasing things that make for good TV.Their overhead and travel expenses have to exceed what we are allowed to see them buy!

People like the Pickers were so lucky to fall into a TV show like that. You could say the same thing about the Pawn Star people.

I love seeing the old stuff they find but the 2 guys doing the show are a little too fruity for me.

Yeah....on this episode one of the guys mentioned how the
only one who calls them, is the secratary/ everything. And
both have never been married.

I dont think they putt from the rough, I'd bet you anything the tall dude pulls alot of fur. Youd be amazed at what chicks will do for people on tv. I got a friend who runs a camera for a news station in nashville. He could tell you some crazy ****.

Wouldn't surprise me if they putt wherever it lies...
