I have to wonder about the quality of the nominating process, when I see with shock the first name on the list... I'm speechless! (Feel very unworthy, although grateful to whichever misguided soul suggested it. Never expected to be nominated, even --I post a lot of words, but don't contribute nearly as much of real value as some others around here, who know much more than I do. Anyway, thank you to whomever actually thought so highly of me - it's humbling to be included in a list as fine as that one!)
At least a VERY deserving person won, so there is no question about the election process itself!
:scratch2: Come to think of it, I saw the nominating opened, and now the announcement of the winner, but somehow missed the whole voting process entirely, for the first time since these elections started. Don't know how that happened, except that I've been busier than usual lately, and around here a bit less than usual. Must have been visible on days I didn't log on. My vote wouldn't have changed anything, anyway, though: I'd probably have voted for the winner, anyway! :yes:
