That one is gorgeous, for once, mine is not nicer! The auction is very well presented too. Still a big number for a 500C. Goes to show what purdy pictures can get you in an auction.

that seller had some really nice stuff tonight. he had a nice jbl corner horn and marantz 19 in just as nice shape as the fisher. also the wooden case for the marantz still in the box.
i really hope it all was legit, really wonder where they run into this kind of stuff. this person does know what they are doing for sure..

I have that same cabinet for my 800c! Someone tried to tell me it was not an original. I didn't really know but it's nice to see another one out there!

It's a gorgeous cabinet, no doubt, but it's an after-market model, not made by Fisher.

Yeah there aren't too many of that style around. I think I have seen only one other in the last couple of years. They may be aftermarket but I think they are just as valuable since they were available at the same time the receiver was.

They surely aren't ugly even compared to the regular cabinets you see. Too bad most of the originals you often see haven't fared very well with age.

Yours sure seems to be a heck of a lot more substantial. Those metal screens on the originals are utterly flimsy.
