Another cheap RCA Interconnect question

Never again ! They are tight fitting, (stiff) and 1 connector snapped ! :thumbsdn:

I don't like the monoprice cables to stiff and the connectors are not very good.

I now have basically a vast collection of thriftstore cables (mostly~ $1 ea) working quite well here.

I've used them and i think they're fine. On a long run in my truck they picked up a lot of alternator whine but most cables I've tried do. I bought a better set of Monsters and the whine went away, but i wouldn't hesitate to use them in a home stereo. For $3 a piece, give them a shot. Compare them to your best, you don't have much to lose.

More than one poster has suggested Blue Jeans cables as an inexpensive choice. What more do you want?

I agree. First post cables are $3, give or take, later post they're more than $100.

Get the BJC. Made in USA, using great cable stock and great connectors.

You seemed to be after inexpensive cables so that's what I gave you link to.

Many people have been quite satisfied with MP cables, myself included, albeit mine are HDMI cables not phono plug/RCA cables.

I have the Audioquest Evergreen cables.
I like them.
From the box they came in:

Engineered in USA.
Cable made and assembled in China.

Many people have either the monoprice speaker or HDMI cables which are fine, but their RCA's are terrible.

Thanks. Gonna pass on those.

I strongly suggest you do a little research beyond whatever crap "Rick" is spouting.

What , you don't base your life decisions on the opening credits of a bad reality TV show?

For the OP, you have asked for recommendations for cheap interconnects then knocked down everyone's suggestions, belittled reputable companies and insulted an entire country. So what exactly is the point of this thread?

First off I have been convinced, dragged kicking and streaming, interconnects do make a difference how much you pay to get that differents is a matter of how much you are willing to spend but I feel you reach a level where you are just throwing away money. My pocket book and ears have decided on Blue Jeans Cables.

I feel the quality of the RCA connector is one of the biggest considerations in interconnect cables. BJC stereo audio cables use Taversoe Crimp RCA Plugs, this connector is custom made for BJC and is a copy of the Canare RCAP. The cable it's self is custom made for BJC by Belden, which is a recording industry standard. Don't think you are purchasing a cable to connect just a cassette deck but you are purchasing cable for use with whatever type of equipment you get in the future. These BJC's are very well made and will last for many, many years. If you need custom lengths go to BJC to purchase them if not then go to the Blue Jeans Cable store on Amazon.

Well I got lucky today and managed to score 3 sets of cables...
I got these all for free.
2 sets are generic vintage Made in Japan cables that were sold in the late 1970's / early 1980's
He also threw in a JVC branded cable as well. All were never used.
Cant complain about the price.

Thanks for all recommendations.

Perfect. You will enjoy the economy of this acquisition for years to come. These probably match the cables on the TT better than any of the ones mentioned and they are made in Japan where your gear came from. Sorry no one could find a cable inexpensive enough for you to know it is a deal. Fortunately, this thread when long enough to allow you to get lucky.

And to think, you could have bought those same cables NEW wholesale for about 39 cents each.
Congrats on saving $1.17.
Well done.
Enjoy them!

If that's what the goal was I'd have probably sent some free, just to clear a few things out of odds and ends drawer.

Perhaps the joke's been on us that tried to provide a suitable reply...

I think maybe we all underestimated the meaning of CHEAP in the title.

If they fail, have Rick fix them. Maybe you'll end up on the tele.

You wont find any Made in Japan cables for cheap.. I guarantee this.
Plus, Im assured that these are real. not fake. I doubt there were fake audio parts entering the market in 1980.
