Yes, I agree with you, but those capacitors I cant find anymore...

Do you maybe have one piece more? I still have one piece of that BHC Slit-foil capacitor 10000uF 80V, but I need one more, and I cant find it.

How about a tutorial on how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble those potentiometers and switches? I've been successful with disassembly/cleaning switches, but I'm terribly afraid of trying to open and repair/clean a potentiometer.

Ah, that's a shame. Sadly I don't have any spares - I only ever bought two of them to suit my AU-X701 :(

You are truly a wizard Kale,,,, that was great restoration. but i personally like the G-22000 and G-8000 restoration more than this one....
 
Nice detail cleaning on those switches an pots, unit will probably go another 30 years, just tell us how it sounds now and after burn in.

It sounds relay great, I think better than my restored G901. OK, at the place where I am doing restorations, I have Wharfedale Laser 150 and they have some bright sound, and 9090 has some warm sound, so it seems to me that is a winning combination, so nothing wrong is with G901, just character of sound what 9090 has is just really good with Laser 150 speakers. I like that 9090 receiver!
