Any Bedini Owners?

So, how do these two famous low-wattage class A amplifiers differ in sound? :)

It's been awhile since I have a/b-ed the two back to back but I've had them both for over 10 yrs so I can give it a try from memory... More alike than different. A little more resolution with the Pass.

The Bedini has been on all week. I just fired up the Pass a few minutes ago and was interested myself in the comparison. This is the first time for either driving the JBL L100 Classics. I'll see how the night goes.

Are there any other Bedini owners on here? I own a couple (25/25 and a "Audio Gold by Bedini" 200/200) and have found it hard to find other Bedini owners and info on Bedini equipment in general. The only time I really see the name is on forum posts when someone says that they used to own one back in the day, usually in the replies to another post. Which is a shame because i think they're great amps for the money you can get them for.

If you've got (or had) a Bedini and are reading this thread (and feeling up to it), reply with which one you have or had. Also if you ever compared them to other brands feel free to share your thoughts, I haven't really had the opportunity to compare them.

Also: if you use Facebook, I created a group on there called Bedini Owners Group, so if you'd like you can search it up on there and join. Hopefully it will be a group to post about Bedini equipment etc. So far there's only four members, though. I have started uploading spec sheets and other things I have found about them to the group.
Hi and welcome to AK !
Take a look at my post here

This is my daily driver, I am using a restored realistic STA-2100D for a preamp and ESS monitor speakers.

took a while to come across this odd combination, but I sure enjoy it.

Awesome restoration. The 803 is a beast. I've never had an 800 series but a friend of mine has an 802 with a set of Magnepans (and sometimes switches out for his B&Ws) and loves it.

@rossm has restored a Bedini amp with an interesting story behind it.
I have lots of Bedini amps, I have also built lots of Bedini amps with John.....I even have some John Bedini tube amps and a One Meg....25-25 which only three were made......Questions email at (autospecialty27@gmail.com) Will

Wow! Got any pictures to share? We like pictures! :D

A Bedini 200/200 Amplifier.

My understanding is that very few were made. $5000 when new (1982), which in 2022 dollars comes out to about equivalent of 15 grand

Proud owner of a Bedini 100/100 here.
Great sounding amp that does just about everything right. F97AE416-21A9-44AE-9C32-249D78F3C943.png
I also have a Bedini/Strelioff 200/200 that I purchased in need of repair.

Here is a 25/25 1 MEG as well a 100/100 1 MEG I have. The 1MEG was for 1 MegaHertz and they were capable of handling 1-ohm speaker loads. The 100/100 is Dual Mono. Last photo is of the 10/10, their smallest amplifier, capable of 1.2ohm speaker loads.

Hey Guys! I'm glad i found this thread here! What's your opinion on the BA-803? Are the newer Classic 200/200 much better? The design of the smaller 801 should use drive board design of the 25 / 25. So the bigger ones 802 and 803 shouldn't be that bad? I found some threads, that some say the real old amps are much better. I found the Classic Series should be better because of the end to end wiring and no use of drive boards but has anyone heard some of these? I ask because i could get a pair of BA 803's for Biamping Shahinian Diapasons. Thanks a lot!

I have a Bedini BA-903(high current version of 803 according to John) and lost the left channel. Are any of you familiar with this
amplifier or know a good shop that can repair? I am located in Virginia.
Much appreciated,
Wayne

Welcome to AK!!
I don't know of any good techs in Virginia but hopefully someone will chime in soon.

I've never used them, but I've heard good things about Action Electronics in Williamsburg. Not sure what part of Virginia you are in.
Bedini products typically do not have service manuals available so they may be difficult to repair. It's a shame because they can sound very good when working properly.
