Any information about Cerwin Vega L-1815-8 woofers?

Confusilated

Hi...I was offered a pair of Cerwin Vega L-1815-8 woofers. They are 18", and look perfect (foam/rubber surrounds are solid and they sound good). I am not sure what they should cost though and the price I was quoted seemed kind of high, but I was told they are rare and costly. Does anyone have an idea about these? Not much I can find on the value or desirabilty, although I believe I did sees some specs on it...

Thanks

Having owned 2 18'' Cerwin Vega woofers way back in 1990 (in my Ford Thunderbird, no less) I can say with plenty of cabinet, these things are tectonic.

Value might be around 300 for both?? No idea, really, as I don't know if this includes an enclosure, and status of those surrounds. Mine were treated fabric, and super durable (the accordion style).

I think I sold both for around 250.

Good luck.

More obsolete than rare, expensive repair parts.

Replaced by FH18E.

IMO, if the cost of the CV's equals or exceeds the cost of full re-cones on both of them, and unless you're specifically loading T-36/C-36 intense style folded horns, you'd be way further ahead to buy JBL 2240/2241's for a few bucks more.
