Any songs with double bass?

For literal double bass, nothing beats Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side." Herbie Flowers' acoustic bass laid over top of his own Fender Jazz Bass part was distinctive enough that he was actually paid for two sessions.

Nancy Sinatra, "These Boots are Made for Walking" Chuck Berghofer on Double Bass, and Carole Kaye on bass, (slide).

Berghofer is also on several Howard Roberts recordings done in the 60's.

FYI: I prefer more finger plucking than bowed. Just gives a "punchy" quality to it.

Also, on electric bass you get a more percussive sound if the player uses a pick.

Find the original recording (from their album Darkness Sure Becomes this City). A remarkable, and very funny, solo by their bassist Bridget Kearney.

Joy Kills Sorrow was quite interesting. Mostly Berklee College of Music trained, a bluegrass style string ensemble but virtually devoid of any twang.
