Any university or altec guys I need some indentification please

Hi guys! I'm picking these up this weekend on the cheap and the only identifying mark I can see in the pics is the University "presence" knob in the back. He says they sound great and work well. Honestly I really was just intrigued by the knobs on back and I know altec and university did a lot together, so I was wondering if anybody has any experience with these? Any thoughts or anything about these at all would be much appreciated!

Judging by the reflections coming off these it looks as if they might have 308 diffaxials in them. (The later 200 series, I'm guessing.) But regardless of what's in them they look like fun to me.

As to the Altec/University connection, the only one I know of is that they were both owned by the same parent company. So not really a lot of overlap, i.e., most likely you won't find anything Altec in these.

I think they look like fun too, that's what made me decide to go ahead. I just need to pick them up asap
 
What I'm hoping is that they may sound good paired with my dynaco a25's that already sound amazing through my marantz 2225
 
I'll vote for them being 308/200 diffaxials, too. Can't imagine them combining well with A25's, though. Just my opinion, YMMV.

As a teenager, I wrote to Altec asking various questions including their "connection" and got the same answer.
 
LTV (Ling Temco Vought) owned both brands at one point (or another). University & Electrovoice brands eventually ended up together. Except as a name, Altec went away :(
