Quick question about Hi-Fi VHS. What were the specs for it? I cant find anything on it and am curious if it truly had Hi-Fi sound?

So what they're saying is its basically a flat 20 Hz - 20 kHz response kinda like Laserdisc's PCM/CD quality sound? Thats pretty impressive quality out of a VHS tape. Thank you for the link and information!

VCR HiFi audio is helically recorded and scanned (as is the video) this results in a very fast tape to head speed.

my mid level quasar unit was 20hz-20khz with 100db of dynamic range. I used it instead of a R2R till it died. Got a good 10 years out of it.
