Anybody NOT like colored vinyl?

I don't care what color the LP is as long as it sounds good. And I haven't found any correlation between sound quality and the color of the vinyl.
I guess one difference I appreciate is that colored pressings often hold their value better. For instance, my clear blue Johnathan Bree - Sleepwalking LP has actually appreciated in value in the few years since it was released. The black LP has not.

Same for the numbered pressings of Jimi's Blues on blue vinyl ... of which I bought one new the week it came out.
 
The few I have sound find, but red (Kinks Kronikles) and white (Laundronauts, Come Clean) are very difficult to see the bands for cuing between tracks.
 
Picture discs generally sound bad.

Colored vinyl, not necessarily so. My translucent gold Stone Roses Fools Gold EP sounds so groovy good I want to take ecstasy and dance all night until my back aches.

It’s an open ended question on an Internet forum. Count yourself lucky it hasn’t devolved into a cleaning solution argument yet, or direct drive vs. belt...
 
My hand is up. I don’t like colored vinyl. I have a few and most sound pretty crappy. Everyone knows vinyl should be clear or black:crazy: And, Hey get off my lawn!:biggrin:
 
I like colored vinyl, but I don't necessarily go out of my way to buy it every time. From a practicality standpoint, plain ol' black vinyl is still my overall preference for many of the reasons stated in this thread - but most of my colored records still sound great.

The one thing I do avoid though are picture discs.
 
Not fond of colored vinyl and find it gimmicky/unnecessary. I do have a 1954 Chet Baker album pressed in red vinyl . . . I only give this one a pass because of its age.

 
I personally could care less as to the color of the LP being played. Just as long as the pressing was good. Since all my tables are manual, I sometimes have to change/stop the table when the LP reaches the runout section. I'm old and nod off quite frequently while listening. :smoke:
 
If there was an issue with colored vinyl, why then did RCA issue 45 rpms in blue, red , green , yellow ?
In addition to the type of music being pressed, they sound fine to me.
