Pardon my ignorance but what's a VPN ?
Virtual private network. It allows you to encrypt everything you do on the internet. Some sites don't like VPN's. A couple of my credit card sites will lock the card if you attempt to access your card information while using a VPN. You have to call them to unlock the account.
Vinyl Engine and HiFi Engine are not VPN friendly. VPN's are sometimes used by hackers to obscure what their true IP is. That's why some sites won't accept log ins from a VPN.
A medical supplier I used had their database hacked by a malicious hacker. Some of my personal information was available to the highest bidder. One latched on to me and interfered with my Internet access and threatened me with all sorts of dire consequences. Subscribing to a VPN was the only way I was able to stop him from harassing me.
From Wikipedia:
A virtual private network is a mechanism for creating a secure connection between a computing device and a computer network, or between two networks, using an insecure communication medium such as the public Internet. Wikipedia
AK is VPN friendly.
