Anyone own a Denon DP-1000?

Hello pmsummer:

Thanks for the pics and info. Can this stuff be applied externally onto the top of the switch, or is surgery required before applying it?

Best if you can get at the switch contacts with the spray, which may require some minor surgery. Hopefully someone with experience with your model will pipe in.

Thanks for the compliment! That actually was me in 1971 at a high school band gig. (God, I wish I could fit into those jeans again)

No you don't or you'd still be a wimpy kid. Real grown ups are bigger stronger versions (that's what we tell ourselves anyway) with things like kids (grandkids :)) and bigger audio collections - gear and source material :)

Welcome aboard and glad you decided to get the Denon spinning again :)

BrocLuno:

Deep down I agree. Would want the waistline again perhaps but not the level of immaturity (really borderline idiocy) that coincides with that age. Thinking back a bit I should rightly be dead several times over. And yes..... there certainly is that LARGE audio collection and gear to consider. :music:

pmsummer:

I'm going to try to source a service manual for my Denon before commencing any surgery because nothing is as simple or simple to do as it appears.

Thanks to both.......

Wow that is a beautiful turntable!

So Rotoplooker would be your last name? first name XQJ-9 is it? :D

I just happen to be listening to that when I saw your thread!

I have a few of those LP's but even more of the CD's. I was listening to a West Side Story one just a while ago. The one with leonard on the cover smoking. It's in perfect condition!
