AR-2A Speakers

Just called on a pair of AR-2A speakers for $60.00... He said the cabinets are very good and sound great.. Anything special I need to ask about these.. And any opinions are appreciated...

Make sure the tweets are working and I would almost bet money that the L pads are very nasty if original.

And don't let anyone tell you, that it's OK just to hard-wire around the L-pads, instead of repairing or replacing them. If the speakers have disabled L-pads, make sure you budget into the total price you're willing to put into them, to get the L-pads replaced. The AR-2A sounds like dog doo-doo, without them... harsh, bright, unbalanced...

Well, if they are probably going to need some attention.. And the fact I have to buy stuff sight unseen... It's worked pretty good so far... BUT...
