Contact JohnChi ( the OP ) he can do it himself ( I know he can 'cause I did )

Good recommendation too

Roy is as good as they come, but he does not meet the OP's specific request for someone in Massachusetts, and we have heavily imposed state line territorial tariffs up here in the Northeast.

Roy's from New York. That's up-there. Close enough! :p.

And while Roy and I will never agree concerning our capacitor discussions, I know he's a good guy, and would do well by the OP's LST-2's.

I've refoamed these as well. Not at all difficult. Roy sent me the correct surrounds for mine.
Johnchi, you can do this yourself. The surrounds for these are called Boston filled fillet surrounds due to their unique roll profile. There's plenty of videos showing how to remove and replace surrounds. It takes some time for removal of the originals, cleaning the basket surface and cleaning off the old glue off the cones to prep for the new surrounds.

I've refoamed these as well.
Glenn, IMO your LST-2 restoration thread remains the gold standard for this speaker model, and the OP should read through your experience. I agree - - this is not a difficult re-foam and hopefully the OP will feel confident to take on this project.

Thanks Robert! Much appreciated! That was a fun and rewarding project.

Thanks for all the replies. I might attempt the refoam myself if I was sure that's all they needed. To the best of my knowledge the grills have never been off these things. The cabinets and grills are pretty much mint so I’m not even that confident taking them off myself. I want some experienced eyes to get a look at them and make sure there is nothing else that needs to be done. I’ll post some before and after pics when they’re done. Again thanks for the help.

Enjoy the noise ...
Those speakers were my introduction into high end audio back in 1973 ... well they allowed me to hear the audio signatures of the other devices in my system..
They're amazingly capable devices ..

I'm fairly certain these are typically held in place with Velcro. For the center (woofer) grille, you'll first need to carefully remove the switch knob which is attached to the shaft with a small allen head set screw.

Correct on all fronts.
