Pay close attention to which white wire goes where. they aren't interchangeable.

Thanks Marc. Right, soldering done and it lives! The motor makes a loud buzzing sound but this goes away with the pulley installed.

do you have the switch turned the correct direction? that motor will have a natural ZzzzzZzzzzZzzz sound to it, but shouldn't buzz, nor loudly.
put a drop of oil on the motor where the shaft exits, let it run. dab off some time later, and add some more. Look at what you dab off to see if it's dirty

I bought this turntable locally ( I am in Miami, FL), the original owner told me that he bought it around 1967 or 1968 and he used a few and later put in the storage in 1971 or 1972, but he didn't told nothing about where bought it.

One would assume it's an export item. The US had a lot of boys stationed around the world in those days. Maybe they were chasing the market target. They may have "over produced" them and simply put them on the US market....dunno. I've run across a bunch of them. Have several of those power supplies in my inventory.

Update.
I rewired the arm, cleaned the bearing wells, polished the ball end on the platter spindle, and tracked down a .219 or 7/32 ball for the arm spindle.
I have mounted an Ortolan VMS 20e tracking at just over 1.1grams and it sounds great.
I also polished the delrin? vertical bearings which has had a slight improvement but it is clear that they are limiting the arms performance.
One thing I would like to improve on is that whilst it sounds fairly well detailed I don't feel it has the bass extension that I think it could have.
What could I look at next to improve that issue?

Ok, so I spent a few hours today with the vertical pivot screws held in a pin vice and with some mild polish I rotated them in the plastic bearings in the brass barrel I kept checking under magnification and the surface finish is much improved on all parts. I also flipped the thrust pad from the arm well to offer a "new" surface as there was a small depression in the surface.
This seems to have really improved the "focus" and removed the slightly diffuse sound I was hearing yesterday.
Its a wonderful turntable!
