To increase your listening pleasure for the least money.....
I would go with an AT95E usually sold for less than fifty dollars, got rave reviews by Steve Hoffman and I believe it's the only low dollar cart he's ever reviewed. Then I would add a 1/8 inch cork turn table mat because of its vibration deadening properties that improve how defined back ground instrumentals sound and they are inexpensive. Then for clarity I would add a good low cost headshell that has Oxygen Free Cooper wiring...the Ortofon SH-H Serato for less than fifty dollars.
If tracking force is a question, tape a nickel of top of the forward edge of your headshell and see if there is a noticeable difference, if so try a penny to see how much of a difference....before starting to making an adjustment change !
