There is no problem with the anti skate

Ok buddy, why don't you go read the manual again. We arn't talking about other turntables, we're talking about this one and what it tells the user to do.

The AT specifically says that the increments on the knob are used to adjust the anti-skate to the same tracking force supplied by the cartridge manufacturer.

To quote directly from the manual;

Now keep telling me there's no problem with the anti-skate.

This has been gone over and over and over on AK...The manuals for EVERY TURNTABLE SAY THIS AND IT IS MEANINGLESS.

Unless you think that setting VTF at 1.5 and Anti-skate at 1.5 is perfect ? Do you say that ? If you do, you haven;t been on AK very long because anyone here with ANY experience enough to discuss this will tell you that is plain WRONG.

Face it ...you want to win...and you can't ..so give up already...

if you are that inexperienced, then instead of trying to trash things, learn. read up what has been said about anti-skate...did you know some tables don't even have anti-skate ?

You're kidding, right? The wood is approximately the thickness of paper. This 6300 is particle board.

And particle board is made of what? plastic?, i don't get why you're brigning my Marantz TTs in to this dicussion, what's you're point?.

Win? Win what? That's a bit juvenile.

Your arguement in this thread was that the LP120 is a good table for beginners. Beginners are going to read the manual and setup the turntable how it says it should be setup.

"Everyone ignores what the manual says." Really? That's your rebuttal? We arn't discussing other tables that don't have anti-skate, and we arn't discussing the advantages and disadvantages of anti-skating in general, so stop trying to deflect valid criticisms about this turntable. I explained this to you before. The wires inside the tonearm are too stiff and exert more force than the anti-skate can counteract under normal circumstances so you have to double the force to get it to register.

I own both turntables, and i've lived with them for a couple of years, I didn't just buy one to test and then flip. I know how they work and how they behave under regular operating conditions so get off your high horse and stop insulting me.
