The Oracle III is still a kick ass speaker. When I tried them in the Roseville Team store in the early 70s vs any other speakers - no comparison. The Oracle 3's were like spouting rainbows of sound you could almost see. I've had mine rebuilt about 20 years ago or so by a shop in Hopkins MN. When I dropped them off, the owner said he was having lunch with Jim West, who designed them. He said West was still in Roseville at the time, (but last thing I read is he is now professor of electrical and computer engineering and mechanical engineering at Johns Hopkins University, still kicking at 93! born in 1931). The repairs were mainly replace the foam around the edge of the speakers that allowed them to have a lot of 'Speaker excursion' (oscillation) which drives the passive woofer, and did something with the electronics on top, and a cover fabric that wouldn't dampen the sound (and hopefully be a little more cat resistant)
And not only do they still deliver crisp clear sound range and good bass, they have stood up to a *lot* of abuse. I suspect my tinnitus is from blasting them as loud as my Yamaha 5450 could go for too long, too many times.... but worth it. If you want a solid, full range speakers, get these.
