Here is one you will hear next time you visit, Sam. The review that Radioactive has published claims a frequency response of 20 - 20kHz, +/- 1 dB.

I almost dropped my teeth when an old 225-A cartridge off of a Rek-O-Kut Rondine I have went for over $400 on e-Pray. Apparently it was one of the first magnetic cartridges from the late 40's, and still considered one of the best mono cartridges around. I too would have figgered it was worth buttkis....:nono:
 
as a side note sam,i did get your pm's and im sorry for not answering sooner but im more of a expert if you wanna call it on their amplfiers, and preamplifiers not so much on the turntables,cartirdges and arms.thee was a website that i had saved that had the info that your looking for but like the internet sites come and go:sigh: i wish you well with getting the info you seek.

Do you have the link for that dead website? The Internet Archive might have saved something there. It's at least worth a try to see if they have anything useful.

I think you need a Fairchild turntable and tonearm to go with your 248/260/260 setup. :D

I've been archiving information and photos, I'm considering building a slightly modernized 248 clone. The current prices for real examples are far beyond my reach, and I don't need to worry about OPT specs like I would if I was cloning an amp.

hi sam,unfortunately i dont have the link but the guys name was jim long.as for a fairchild turntable i do have a 440 but lust for eithe a 412 e/d or a 750.
