Hello everyone, been a while since posting, but I troll a lot because this forum is a great resource. My AU-11000 recently quit working, and the guy looking at it believes it’s the input switch. It turns and clicks, but the piece that actually changes connections is not moving. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement, or know of someone with an AU-11000 that doesn’t work and they are willing to part it out? I’ll apologize now in case I broke any forum rules. Any ideas/advice is welcome! Thanks!

I appreciate the advice. I’ll have to touch base with the tech looking at it. I know he said the plastic piece that slides and makes the different contacts on the circuit board is not sliding. I’ll be picking the unit up soon and I can give a better description with it in front of me.

Oh, this sounds like a slide switch. You are either going to have to take it apart and try to fix it or find a replacement, which is unlikely.
The tech emailed me back, and looks like I’ll have to try to find a replacement board, which the broken part of the switch is attached to. Board F-2569 I believe…
It seems to be a 'geared slide switch', which converts rotary action into linear movement - that won't be easy to find. Just to prepare you, you may have to wait years for one to turn up. 
As far as I can tell the AU-9900 and AU9900A/AU-11000A use the same switch - for the same purpose, Sansui Part number 1190260.

I really appreciate the info, and I was also thinking that this switch will be hard to find. I might get another au-11000(a) for parts, but I’ll have to part with my 9090 to have the funds. I have never seen one of those switches go bad. If it was me I would take the switch apart and see why it isn't moving. Could be something simple.
I’ve got the au-11000 back home finally and can see what’s going on. I can see the gear that would move the slide in and out is not moving - this is looking through a tiny hole on the outside of the switch assembly on the board. I’m going to pull the faceplate off tomorrow and see if I can get a better idea of what failed. I really just need one of the auxiliary inputs to work so I can use the amp. Of course I’d like to get it fully functional, but if I can enjoy it in the meantime…

It works! It works! So happy to have my amp back! I’ve tried several amps/receivers in it’s absence, and it set the bar high. There might be better integrated amps out there, but I’ve really become accustomed to its blend of power and clarity.
Now on to the technical report:
When plugged into tape 1 it doesn’t have proper sound, but I can hear it faintly, whether it’s on tape 1,2, or source. In contrast, if I plug into tape 2, it plays normal no matter what I set tape play to. Possible that switch is failing as well? I don’t want to inadvertently cause another issue by using the amp if something else is going on. It sounds great and is running cool as usual.
Make sure the Tape Copy switch is set to OFF or Source.
