AU-999 button needed

I recently restored an AU-999 utilizing all the wonderful knowledge members here have on circuit mods and transistor substitutions. It came out outstanding.
That said, the only short coming is the high filter toggle switch is missing the button. I can't really tell, but the shaft itself might be broken at the point of attachment, although there are no sharp or distorted edges. I tried to remove one of the other toggle buttons, but they are on so tight, I didn't want to risk damage by forceful removal.
I would buy the whole switch if that was the deal.

They should pull straight off. That switch is snapped off.

If you search ebay you'll find lots of images. I just tried to link one here & it didn't work, sorry.

The switch stills functions. I think I'll leave it be until the highly unlucky event I find a donor unit.
I found it in a used record store sitting under a pile of burned out/wrecked amps. It sat 2-3 years before I finally make an offer.
I got it cheap, but It needed everything. It was the better part of a years restoration. But well worth it. Amazing sound for such an old design.

It is difficult to tell in your photo how long the shaft is. It looks like it has broken off short but maybe not. The black covers do pull off. If it is the same length as the low filter shaft, you only need to wait until a few switch knobs show up as parts for sale.

Where are you located? If in US, pm me your address and I’ll send you knob I can’t use. It was sold to me as au9500 but was not. Been storing it for years, waiting for someone who can use it.

Got your package DD, Thank you very much.
The stub is a little on the short side, it goes in about 3/8ths inch, but with a little super glue or JB Weld it should hold just fine.

Sorry it wasn’t a perfect match. It was too short and too “square” for it to come from an au-x500 series and looked visibly like the toggle caps from the au-999 series. Happy you can use.

It's the right button alright. the shaft is apparently damaged (shortened). But there is still enough material to make it work. I'm just going to have to be a little creative with the glue.
