The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html
I like the vinyl AA section. Lots of good folks there. I like AK too. I don't see a problem with members enjoying and participating on both sites. Is there?
I am sure it will be back soon. There are alot of good knowledgeable folks that contribute on both AA and AK, and I appreciate all of them. They have improved my love of this hobby immensely. Both places offer something a little different and both meet the needs of many people interested in our niche hobby.
When AK had problems about a year ago, people posted on AA asking about it. It REALLY shouldn't be a big deal, should it? I don't feel threatened by it. Both places have alot of nice helpful folks that should be able to coincide quite well and I see alot of the same folks contributing on both sites. It's all good as far as I am concerned.

While I don't frequent AA, I completely understand the sentiment expressed here. Where else is someone supposed to go to find out what is up with a similar forum, when that site is down, and nobody can be contacted?
I see no problem with this sort of thing myself. :thmbsp:
AK DID go down around this time last year for a week or more from a server crash. That's why you can't see any pictures on all the message threads before that date that were saved to the server.
I got a Telex message from Rod just a few minutes ago. It appears as if a couple of faulty punch cards messed up some registry files. With a bit of luck it will be fixed, though.
