Sad story. I had a break in and the cops did nothing!!!

Look like the thieves left behind a Tascom CD/Cassette and another pro dual cassette.

Detroit is such a trashy city they will steal your dirty socks. Was a glorious city back in the 1950s. A person leaves Detroit every 20 minutes. Population peak was over 1.8M, now around 700,000. Now, lets compare NYC- no comparison.

I moved here in 1985 and when I used to talk to my father-in-law about the city he grew up in and look at it now, it's just so sad.

One trick pony that went down the crapper once the Big 3 fell on tough times.

For a look at now and then, spend some time here and see how far it's fallen...

Dave Bing is trying hard, but the city beat down Dennis Archer. They most pathetic thing is that Kwame would probably get re-elected, which shows the kind of ignorance running rampant down there.

I wouldn't be too concerned about getting under too many locals skin about Detroit. We live here, and see these messes daily...

Sad that desperate people have to steal from a church! Profits probably went up their noses....

The photo tour of Detroit was fascinating. Maybe someday she'll return to glory. I think the unions destroyed it.
 
Sorry to hear about this Wiggy. If I was closer, I could lend them a whole 'nother system, complete with floor monitors, amps and board from my PA inventory. Shipping would be a bear though.

Hope they find those buggers and the gear intact. Sad to steal from a church or school.
 
Sad indeed, stealing from a church. Long history of that in every part of the world, though. I live across the river from Detroit, see the RenCen from my house windows. Detroit has such misfortune, yet there is a spirit there still and is slowly rebuilding from the inside out from what I can see. Maybe one day that development will reach critical mass and things will take off. No reason why not.

All cities where there are a few good people left come back sooner or later. I've witnessed it with DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC and on and on. Eventually the good people take over and WHAM. Detroit will get theirs. Just look at Pittsburgh now. The list goes on.
