Audio Technica AT VM 95 en

My current cartridge on my Dual 1219 is an Audio Technica ATN 95e. Is the Audio Technica AT VM 95 en (moving magnet)considered an upgrade? Also, will it work with the Dual 1219 factory headshell? Thanks!

If you have the AT95 cart, ATN is a stylus number, then yes the EN is an upgrade as it is a nude elliptical; regular E is bonded. One thing to note, the VM95 styli fit the AT95 body so you could just replace the stylus on your existing AT95 with a VM95 stylus of your choice rather than the whole cart. ML is very nice.

Yes, the EN would be an upgrade. The 'nude' stylus is mounted directly to the cantilever, so the sound will be faster, and more detailed. I would recommend a nude elliptical in almost every case over a bonded.
The ML stylus is a good one, as well, but a good nude elliptical can be all that's needed for some people and systems.

Honestly, one of my favorite carts is a bonded elliptical. :)
