Audit Your Posts!

I run through spell check before I post. Even when I'm heated and about to beat down a troll or something, I check my spelling and grammar.

I wouldn't stress out too much on grammatical errors on a forum, nonetheless. It's a casual public forum and there are no rules listed stating that all posts must be grammatically acceptable.

This isn't a university. Relax.

So many posts are compromised in their clarity because the member was so eager to get the damned thing 'on the air' he/she overlooked, or forgot, to give it a final once-over, and catch spelling and/or grammatical errors.
Come on people, if you want accurate feedback on your questions or dilemmas, spend a couple of minutes reading them over. You would be amazed how much better it will read with a little tweaking. :D

Goddam pushy Canadians ...

G'day all, an interesting thread. Well, good written English is important to me as it would have been a shame to have wasted all that school education, and although I do try to proof read before I post, I still often make mistakes which are apparent by my frequent 'Spelling' comment in the edit field. :D Regards, Felix aka catman.

I bet I'm one of the posters in question. I tend to post in the middle of the night and I tend to make lengthy posts. By the time I've got a few paragraphs in I've completely forgotten what I was trying to say so things come out a bit messy.

As for spelling mistakes, you wouldn't want to see my posts without the built in spell checkers of Chrome/Firefox. It's a bit embarrassing really.

I honestly don't mind the occasional post with spelling/punctuation errors. But I cringe when I see someone posting about their "intergrated" amp. Especially when they're trying to sell their "intergrated" amp. Why would I buy an "intergrated" amp from someone who can't even correctly spell what they're selling?

Of course I audit my posts, every single one. But I overlook so many mistakes. Das ist schade.

However I hope also for the future that nobody will stone me here due to my pretty poor English.

:)

Yeah! See those point about these things that make this like that and the other. What does a man have to do to gets some clearness on the internets. No one, nowadays does nothing to not speak english good in this ever changing world in which we live in.

I'm sorry for all the mistakes I have made, am making and will make. But I'm just a stupid foreigner who only speaks Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish (well... only the bad words).

I guess this means no more scroes. :sigh:
one can only hope...not a fan of the term...it conjurs images of Stifler...
Trying to find that "Audit" button. :scratch2:
you too?
