October 22/23rd.

Any interest among the locals for a Saturday browse'n buy, followed by a round-up to compare acquisitions at The Draught House (or Black Star, or Flying Saucer)?

The one in Austin is a biggie. Sellers from all over the country will be there with an amazing array of records. I'll be there for sure!

So... interested in a de-brief at The Draught House at 4pm?

[parman]

Man I'ld love to make that show. Chicago's probably more realistic for me.

[rebbi]

Wow! I can't go on Saturday but might be able to attend on Sunday. Thanks for reminding me of this!

I was just talking about this the other day and said it must be coming up soon. April and October every year. This is a pretty good event, lots and lots of stuff. I go in with cash in pocket and limit myself to what I have on me, else I could spend a lot of money.
I'm definately interested. Thanks for the reminder.

Have not been to one here for many years. But I do know it started in the lower(basment) level of the Palmer Auditorium. Then grew large enough to occupy the much larger upper level.
Looks like now its at the former Crockett Center. Guess it outgrew the Palmer at some point?

I know I have found some nice finds there. You can get vinyl you are looking for on the cheap and for mega $$ depending on what your looking for. CD's of course too.

Most dealers I dealt with would let you haggle with them and you could walk away with your treasures in hand with both parties involved smiling & happy.

[sebrof]

I plan to be there Sat before noon. I usually hang for a couple of hours.
I'll be wearing this hat so if you bump into me feel free to say hello.

Keep your eyes open for this one.

And next week is the WFMU show in NYC.

Many foreign buyers do both, unless they spend all their money in Austin.

HaHa, you're killin' me.
How many tries to take the picture before you got it centered?
See you there

Have some other plans for tomorrow but may be able to make it for a while. Probably shouldn't after dropping a few bills on gear the last few weeks but may still have a little left for some LPs.

Well, what hat you gonna wear?

Will be skipping this time. Was planning on going out to see my parents and take care of a couple of things for them. Best not to try to cut it short with them so I'll just wait for the spring show.

Enjoy!

Maybe we can car-pool next spring.

P.S. Good man, taking care of the parents.

Sorry for the late reply, lost track of the thread! I'll be there with a little table of my vintage gear in various states of (dis)repair drop by and say hi! I'm the guy in the red Yep Roc T-shirt with the record on the front!

Dang! Missed you (and the email).

I hit it from 10:00 - 12:00. Spent my modest pre-determined limit. Glad I went, as the seller I was looking forward to visiting with (and buying from) said it was his last one.
