avatar on this forum

[StyX]

Hi,

I am trying to add an animated gif as my avatar on this forum but all I get is "You may not upload animated images."
Still, I see lots of animated avatars in use here, whats up with that?

Tommy Shaw does not allow them here.:lmao:

i'm just guessing here but perhaps the administration changed it with the new server upgrade.also avatar sizes have changed also.your now only allowed a 50x50 image for it as compared to 150x150 it use to be.

Avatars have always been 150X150 and still are. Something got switched in the last change over prohibiting animated gifs but i just fixed that.

thanks grumpy.about the avatars i was told about the 50x50 limit from someone who changed theirs so i didnt have first hand experience.i'll be sure to let them know its still 150x150.

Yepp, now it works! (as you can see)

Anybody recognize it?

Looks like a very early running man, but I can't quite place it. I saw they had Tommy Shaw & Jack Blades on that Jimmy Kimmel show the other night, promoting their latest effort. I always liked Styx, especially Equinox & Pieces of Eight. :thmbsp:

Lemmings?

[StyX]

Yes! It is a lemming!

[bolly]

it's still 50x50 :sigh:

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

[doctorbongo]

Yup. Lemming was my first guess.
Paramecium on meth was my second guess.
