Baddest mostly real bad guys in movies & TV.

Kevin Spacey in Se7en ...

What's interesting is that his role was added more as an afterthought - he wasn't even listed in the credits. He took what little screen time the character got and IMHO pretty much stole the show.

Here's another one to haunt ya ... Stanley Tucci in The Lovely Bones ...

I saw Mickey Spillane interviewed by Mike Douglas on TV one afternoon. Mike asked if Mickey had ever been in a situation like his character Mike Hammer. Mickey replied once he was in his own neighborhood and stopped at a bar. He left the Colt 1911 in the car, after all he was in his own neighborhood. He ordered a beer and was sipping it when a guy walks up next to him and sticks an ice pick in the bar. Mickey said what was I going to do, then he remembered the spare clip in his jacket pocket. He slowly reached for it, and popped a bullet out in front of the bad guy. The guy watched as it spun around and stopped, all the while probably thinking if this guy has the clip, he must have the gun in the other pocket. Mickey looked the guy in the eye and said "Eat it". The bad guy picked up the bullet and did just that. Mickey finished his beer, slowly walked out the door, the as he put it he ran like hell to his car and drove home. He was one real bad a$$.

John Wick

Just saw John Wick: Chapter 2 last night. Fairly certain that count was exceeded within first ~30 minutes and it keeps on going.

The film BTW is a hoot w/ Monty Python levels of blood gushing & Looney Toons creative violence.

...and I enjoyed it as much as the first one.

Two of my all-time faves and in one film are Clarence Boddicker and Dick "only a glitch" Jones in Robocop -

They barely edge out Michael Ironside's character in Total Recall, another Paul Verhoeven film.

Check out Christopher Walken's dance moves :

Gotta get me one of those transistor radios you see in the opening scene ... we're talking AUDIOPHILE GRADE! <G>

Walken's done some strange roles in his days, many of which leave you wondering if he's a good guy OR a bad guy. Excess Baggage comes to mind - an extremely "bad" guy, but with maternal instincts? Then there's the Archangel Gabriel in the Prophecy series, who starts out as bad as bad can get, yet evolves into a good guy as the plot unravels.

^ Per the OP - Staying away from sci-fi/fantasy type bad-asses who else might be a contender? Otherwise a solid choice.

I think the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo could take her ... <G>

Hmmm, I don't think so.
Lisbeth Salander, though she has issues, is actually a good character, only screwing over very bad guys.
Amy is entirely wicked, the proverbial Black Widow, who ruined 3 guys in a row, in Gone Girl.

Yeah, but but but ... she road a motorcycle and did the ninja thing! <G>

OK then ... how about tag team bad? Flip a coin as to which one is more disturbing in a psychotic kinda way here, Rooney Mara or Catherine Zeta-Jones ...

Joe Pesci, in both Goodfellas and Casino, deserves a mention. Scares me every time I watch either of those flicks.
