Ban the serocs threads! Panic in the city.

I like the score threads! Yet another sourcs of info. Each one gives me a better Idea of what to (or not to) look for at GW, garage sales, flea markets, etc.

Don't like "score" posts : skip them ...no big deal .

Well Said . . . keep on Scoring, Scroeing, Finding, Grabbing & Snagging!!

+2 here ....................... I enjoy the score threads as much as anything else here, especially when there are pictures. We have multiple threads covering the same questions or subjects. The score threads are pretty much all different.

Hi all,

Well, I kinda know what Dave means. I have been a member of AK for about a half a dozen or so years. Most all my early threads were about all the cool stuff I scored, some of which truly were fantastic deals. Now, nearly seven years later, I hardly even post threads and just glance over score threads (unless it's something really unbelievable). That being said, I say bring on the score threads. I recently gave a system to a lovely sweet soul of a young man (a refugee from Rwanda) whom I befriend. This young man who loves music was THRILLED to have received an "ol school" Receiver and a pair of Boston Acoustic A70's. I suspect us long time AK'ers who have amassed (in my case) a house full of gear, this system would seem like
"small Potatoes" but, to this young man from Rwanda, it was a major score!
Oooh, last week, I found a original (made in Japan) pair of Rat Shack Minimus 7's at the Salvation Army for five bucks the pair! A Minimus score!

Regards,
SixCats! aka Tom

I dunno...I'm a little superstitious. IMO breathlessly announcing a score invites bad luck or bad, well, karma. You're asking fate for a rattle, a buzz, or a fried driver.

Exactly how I feel. I've learned a lot from the dissection of other people's pickups.

There's a difference between a "score" and a "ripoff." IMHO, if the seller is happy and you didn't use deceit to get the item at an artificially low price, then it's a score and Karma is satisfied. If someone uses deceit to drive the price down, then shame on them.
