Do I need to ur a dim bulb set up to see what’s going on with it? I will take it to be gone thru and I need to repair or build new wood case for it. It needs a knob or two and some switch knobs, I took off the top cover and put the screws in a baggie which my wife accidentally threw out. So I need some replacement parts which I guess I can get off of eBay if there are any around. Any tips guys?
Many thanks in advance!

That's quite a find in the wild. If it was mine and didn't consider myself a qualified audio tech it would be a tough decision to flip for a huge profit or invest about a grand in a refurbish. It needs to be gone through by a pro, if that is you, then go for it!

Do you have experience with electronics repair / restoration? If not, your best bet is to find someone willing to do a full restore on it. And yeah, figure $1000-1500 on the restore, not including shipping if necessary.

Oh yes...It's going to need a "Whole Lotta Love".

@hairy carbin where are you located? Maybe a local can recommend a good tech.

If it were me, yes I'd use my DBT to power it up, and then start measuring, starting at the power source and working my way through the amplifier.

Fingers crossed for you that it's in good shape!

I just wanted to hear it safely but didn’t want to hurt it. The tech just went thru my Fisher 400 and I just got back both amps and tuner for my 1958 Concert Grand.
