I had to play that again...he essentially said Beats Audio is a smiley EQ. "It has exaggerated lows and highs", and he says it in a "good" way, and says the mids are less interesting.
 
So turning "off" the Beats Audio app actually steps on the "unmolested" sound's high and low spectrums? Thats straight-up Criminal.

Kid himself was tolerable as far as YT reviews go.
 
The kid was trying to give the other brands without Beats audio a chance.

Beats is such phenomenal marketing. :D
 
It's sad Dre sold out soo bad with these headphones.

Although to me headphones are only useful when walking, give me a set of speakers every day.
 
It saddens me because they have such great design. I would love some headphones that looked great.

They don't hold a candle to my decade-old Sony MDR-V6s though, or even my Klipsch S4 earphones (which aren't exactly high end).
 
I thought politics was a no-no, no matter how subtle. This threads seems to be flirting with politics if you ask me, and I have no idea how Beats audio could invoke that...but it seems to be starting.:scratch2:

I think you nailed it...

He marketed his own name onto lets face it a product that is not very good and it sold like hotcakes.

Sorry, here's the obligatory, to my ears they sound absolutely horrendous, if you like them, that's all that matters...

That is the definition of selling out.. Selling your credibility.

Was Dr Dre noted for great sound?

BTW The product is excellent for its targeted market.
