You started my favorite thread, "Show us your dinner". IMO, you should be in the AK Hall of Fame for that. :) :beerchug:

Haven't posted there for a while myself, but I do stop by regularly to drool and kick myself for going diabetic ... :(

If you check some of my earlier meals, you'll see why ... I can feel my arteries hardening just looking at these bad boys ... :rolleyes:

That's what I like to eat, and this is what my dietitian would prefer to see on my plate ... ;-}

Sorry, to hear that, brother! I know that you've been through a lot. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Ditto on the belated congratulations on your milestone achievement.

Congrats! How are you doing these days?

Thanx for asking ...

Doin' fine ... well, as fine as can be expected after hitting the side of a van at 45mph on a motorcycle anyway. On the bright side, with the addition of a shiny new "total reverse" shoulder a couple months back, all the major slicing and dicing is done. They wanted to wait on that till the legs were as good as they were gonna get, but I kinda pushed to get it done. Told the docs ... you know how you're always going on about goals and targets? Well ... one of my goals is to do some gardening this spring, and one of my targets is gonna be YOU if you don't make it happen! I was on the table a couple weeks later. ;-}

Recovery is slow, but what don't kill ya makes ya stronger, right? Once everything settles down, some tuning up will be required (arthroscopic repair of the other shoulder - no biggie), and some other minor repairs that I can't deal with right now, and I should be good.

If nothing else, it gives me a lot of time to hang here ... your loss! <G>

I had the same reaction to a quad bypass a couple of months back. I thought to myself, "Those poor unsuspecting victims on AK are really going to regret this!"

Glad things are coming along for you!

Quad bypass? Sounds like fun!

Wonder if I could talk my docs into throwing in one of those? Pretty much the only thing they've missed so far ... <G>

Friend of mine just went in last week expecting a quad after having already done a triple a couple years back. Seems they got in for a look see and decided there wasn't enough blockage to warrant the full monty. Now he's wondering what the chest pain is all about? I told him - probably stress and worry after being told he need a quad bypass, eh ... ;-}

Anyway - I showed him a lot of the passive stretches and such I've been doing for the shoulders. I do know that getting the muscle tone "right" can make a big difference in pain levels in the chest as well, so he's gonna give that stuff a shot and see what happens.

This keeps up I may have a career in physical therapy in my future - lord knows I've gained my fair share of exposure to that in the last year ...
